the act of saying or doing over again

ATHAIP PK-B B47-14 AB 2 the ammonia hell scape, I forgot how much this planet hated me and the feeling was mutual. This time my issues started while trying to land, the parking on this rock was a nightmare.

The most annoying part was the terrain appeared like smooth sweeping hills of rock. However as I dropped out of the final glide phase of the descent, the extent of the dents and rocks appeared more apparent forcing a retreat to find somewhere that would allow me to land.
Searching for what seemed like forever, but in reality was more like five minutes I eventually made touchdown. Now further away from my target search zone than initially expected I would have to keep an ever-watchful eye open for when I was expecting to start encountering bacterium.
Before deploying the SRV I set about my usual routine of getting the Artemis suit ready. In preparation of the ammonia adventure before me, I installed the pine scented filter I had picked up on Explorers Anchorage into the suit’s air filtering system. It was time to see if these things were the tourist gimmick I thought, or an actual benefit.
Following the filter instructions, I sat in the cockpit for a few minutes while encased in my suit, to allow the filter to “magically transport me to an Alpine Forest”, whatever that meant. Soon enough the smell of plastic, warm electronics and the general mechanical smell of the ship were pushed aside by a fresh wave of what I assumed was pine. I had never encountered the smell before, I had never encountered pine before, it was nice. I will now have to plan a trip to Earth.
The doors to the planetary vehicle hanger opened, I jumped in the SRV and initiated the deployment sequence form the onboard computer. Rolling out from under the ship I was greeted again by those dancing binary stars, this planet had one redeeming feature at least. Setting off towards the stars, using them as a guide to the search site, keeping them dead ahead and a small mountain range to my right.

I trundled and bounced along, the mountains seemed to get no closer, but the suns sunk ever closer to the horizon. It was about halfway between The Hiraeth and the mountain range, the suns now sat the same distance from the horizon as the mountains were high and still no sign of the alleged bacterium samples. It was time to stretch my legs, as in my estimate by the time I get to the peaks those suns will have dipped out of sight.
The pine air was pleasant, but the faint undertones of ammonia still toyed with my senses. This made for an interesting and ultimately different experience. As I wandered around, kicking stones and examining the ground for bacterium I started to get frustrated with my situation, I looked up to the horizon, over the sea of rock towards the island mountain. I admired the details highlighted by the dying light.

Toying with the idea of accepting defeat in my biological search, was I to be beaten by this planet again?. I started back towards The Hiraeth, it was time dig out that white foam ball with the mug on it and start squeezing.
